Skyler Wilcox (Harold Hill) Skyler is thrilled to be returning to the EMCT stage! Previous credits include Charley’s Aunt (Stephen Spettigue), Disney’s Beauty and the Beast (LeFou), How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying (Womper) and Broadway Then and Now (King George III, Henry Jekyll). The Music Man was the very first musical Skyler ever participated in, and 16 years later, he gets to perform in a dream role. Extra special about this show is the chance to share the stage for the first time with his gorgeous wife, Jenny. “Pile up enough tomorrows and you’ll find you’ve collected nothing but a lot of empty yesterdays.”

Laura Shipp (Marian Paroo)

A musical theater addict and performer from a young age, Laura has dreamed of playing Marian in The Music Man since almost before she can remember. In her career as a zookeeper and animal trainer, she continued to channel her inner theater nerd by taking the stage in live animal shows and educational children’s events while constantly annoying the leopards, sea lions, and penguins in her care by singing them show tunes behind the scenes. She is currently taking a break from zookeeping to better annoy her three amazing daughters by singing show tunes at home. She is thrilled to make her debut with Eagle Mountain Community Theater in this dream role and would like to thank her husband Dustin, who has always helped make her dreams come true!

Jason Allen (Mayor Shinn)

Jason is excited to perform in his favorite musical and to be in his second show with EMCT! His first role was playing Jack in Charley’s Aunt earlier this year. From the critics in his family, he hears it was actually pretty good 🙂 Previously, Jason spent three years performing and touring with the International Folk Dance Ensemble at BYU. He lives in Eagle Mountain with his beautiful wife Kerry and their three wonderful kids. He is grateful to perform with such a talented cast!

Grace Boren (Constable Locke, Salesman)

Grace has been acting since she was in 6th grade, it’s something that she loves. She especially excels in comedic roles, including Smee (Peter Pan), Bullfrog (Honk! Jr.), the Cook (Alice in Wonderland), and The Wizard (Wizard of Oz). Her parents are her biggest support. She hopes to do more plays in the future, though this may be her last play before college!

Heather Lynne Brower (Salesman, Pick-A-Little Lady)

Heather Lynne Brower is so excited for this chance to be back on the EMCT stage and to work with such a wonderful production team. Heather has been performing since she could toddle around in her mother’s high heels and it has become an integral part of her life. Theater is a place where she finds the utmost joy, working hard as a collective to put out something beautiful for others to enjoy. Some of Heather’s more recent theatrical experience include Blithe Spirit (Edith), Charley’s Aunt (Kitty), As You Like It (Rosalind), and Cinderella (Joy). She is so psyched to add the role of Pick-A-Little Lady to her list of musical accomplishments.About this particular endeavor Heather says, “Most theatrical experiences I choose to audition for are for me, but this time I do it for my Someone, my White Knight, whose favorite musical is The Music Man. This one’s for you, baby!”

Austin Brown (Charlie Cowell)

Austin is thrilled for his stage debut as Charlie Cowell in The Music Man! This musical has always held a special place in his heart. Austin is grateful for the opportunity to join this EMCT production. He wants to express his deep love and appreciation to his wife, Chelsea, and their two boys, Maverick and Nash. Their support has made this experience more meaningful. As they say, “Ya gotta know the territory!”

Avery Brown (Farmer’s Wife/Dancer/Townsperson)

Avery is very excited to make her ECMT debut in The Music Man. Previously, she has played a Mersister in The Little Mermaid, Jr., Lead Villager in Moana, Jr., Hidden Folk Ensemble in Frozen, Jr., Star Ensemble in The Lion King, Jr., and a Fairy in Peter Pan, Jr.  She loves being a 7th grader at Vista Heights Middle School. When she’s not in school, Avery enjoys dancing, singing, and playing the piano and viola. You’ll often find her painting, with her nose in a book, or snuggling her nephew or her dog, Chloe. She wants to thank her mom and dad for always picking her up from extra-curricular activities!

Jerid Clark (Marcellus Washburn)

Jerid is a life-long performance arts aficionado. He appeared in several productions in his home town in Carbon County in his youth. He also sang in high school, which led him to making it into the BYU Men’s Choir while in college, where he also performed in many stage productions. Since moving to Eagle Mountain 10 years ago, he has had roles in Annie Get Your Gun, Cinderella, As You Like It, The Great British Bump Off, and Macbeth. He has also directed two previous EMCT productions—Alice in Wonderland and Charley’s Aunt. He loves the opportunity his wife lovingly “allows” him of being a member of the EMCT board and especially loves getting to share his love of the stage with his son, John. “Let’s line ourselves up a little canoodlin’.”

John Clark (Winthrop Paroo)

John is so excited to be part of The Music Man! He has been part of the ensemble in two previous EMCT plays: Alice in Wonderland and Honk! Jr. This is his breakout role! In his free time, he enjoys what every 9-year-old does—Minecraft!  But he settles for less screen time by creating imaginative worlds through crafts, art, and is learning how to crochet. He hopes to be in many more on-stage productions! (That is, if he can find the time away from his fishing trips with dad!) John would like to thank his mom, dad, and grandma for helping and supporting him every day of this production. “Gary, Indiana” is the house’s new favorite song!

Mabel Davis (Salesman, Dancer)

Mabel is thrilled to be in a second show with Eagle Mountain Community Theatre! She grew up loving the show Music Man and now she gets to participate in a dream role. Mabel has previously only been in Honk! Jr., where she played the role of Maureen, a friendly moorhen.

Rylee Dewsnup (Zaneeta Shinn)

This is the tenth show Riley has been in, but it’s her first one with EMCT! She has had so much fun working with everyone in this play these past few months. When she’s not doing plays, Rylee loves to sing and hang out with her friends. She is super excited to be a part of future shows!

Claire Ellis (Town Child)

Claire is excited to be performing in her fourth show with EMCT. She has played a Heart Child in Alice and Wonderland, a Goose Squadron member in Honk, Jr.! (one of her favorite shows) and an Apparition in Macbeth. She loves drawing, Pokemon, video games, being silly, and hanging out with her family. She loves doing theatre with her mom!

Elizabeth Ellis (Mrs. Paroo)

Elizabeth is thrilled to be back onstage with EMCT. She discovered a love of performing after reciting “I Eat My Peas With Honey” at a preschool talent show and has kept trying to make people laugh ever since. She grew up watching and quoting The Music Man with her family and can’t believe how lucky she is to be playing one of her dream roles now with such a wonderful cast. Previous roles at EMCT include Donna Lucia in Charley’s Aunt, Detective Sam in The Great British Bump-Off, the “I need six eggs!” lady in Beauty and the Beast (another one of her dream roles!), and Audrey in As You Like It. She recently directed Macbeth for EMCT and it was one of the best experiences of her life. When she’s not doing theatre or chasing her kids, she loves reading, writing, creating any type of art, quoting random movies, and anything to do with Jane Austen. Thanks to her family for their support, and a special shout out to her daughter Claire for all the fun theatrical adventures they are sharing.

Greyson Galloway (Farmer, Dancer)

Greyson Galloway was made for the stage! With 5 years of experience in competition clogging with Starz Unlimited Dance Studio, he has gained the skills and passion for performing. Greyson has always had a love for theater. His theatre debut was in Eagle Mountain Community Theatre’s Alice in Wonderland, playing the role of a soldier in the Queen of Hearts’ court. He shined under the spotlight and managed to keep his head. “Off with their heads!” He is so excited for the opportunity to perform multiple roles with EMCT in his first ever musical, The Music Man, including Farmer, Townsperson, and Dancer. He can’t wait to share his talents and the growth he’s made while preparing for this show with his family, friends and community. Greyson hopes to continue excelling in theater by participating in future performances with many of the friends he’s made along the way. He would like to thank EMCT, Starz Unlimited and his family for their guidance and support as he shoots for the stars to fulfill his dreams!

Landon Harper (Tommy Djilas)

Landon loves acting, and theatre! It’s amazing! He is grateful for the opportunity to do The Music Man, to make new friends, and learn new things. Thanks to his fellow actors and wonderful directors!

Brecka Humphreys (Salesman, Pick-A-Little Lady, Dancer)

Brecka has done many shows with Eagle Mountain Community Theater and is always happy to return to this amazing community theater. This show will be her 18th show. Some of her favorite shows she has done have been The Wizard of Oz (where she played the Wicked Witch of the West), Alice in Wonderland (playing the role of Tweedledum), and Beauty and the Beast!

She is so excited to share this amazing story with you and she hopes you enjoy the show!

He recently moved here from South Carolina where he performed as Perry in The Betty and Beau Wedding Show. He has a love of music, history and U.S. presidents. Hyrum is aware of others and likes to make others feel loved. In his previous neighborhood he was known as the “Mayor,” due to his knowing everyone and being social. He loves to talk and could often be found visiting with elderly neighbors on their porches. He loves playing Minecraft, singing, golfing and swimming.

Rachael Lundberg (Ethel Toffelmier)

Rachael is so excited to be back at EMCT. She has previously performed in two plays—Beauty and the Beast and Charley’s Aunt. After suffering a stroke in August of this year, the odds of her returning to the stage were stacked against her. But, here we are doing the dang thing, and she couldn’t be happier. Thank you to all that have supported her through this journey. The theater means more than words can say.

Alyson Mashburn (Dancer)

Alyson Mashburn was first introduced to the theatre arts when she took a drama class at Frontier Middle School with her amazing teacher, Dr. Maddocks. After taking the class, she found out that some of her family friends were in EMCT’s production of Cinderella. After watching the play, she wondered when the next show auditions were because she knew that doing shows was going to be her thing. She went to the auditions for Alice in Wonderland and got in the show along with her dad. Since then, she has also been in As You Like It and Macbeth. She loves being in theatre so much that this year, she decided to try out for The Music Man, her very first musical ever. She loves doing shows with EMTC so much and can’t wait to be in more!

Samantha Mashburn (Town Child)

Samantha Mashburn made her acting debut in Eagle Mountain Community Theatre’s production of Macbeth.  She enjoyed performing in Macbeth so much that she was excited to audition for The Music Man.Her inspiration comes from seeing her dad and big sister have fun as they performed in Alice in Wonderland and As You Like It. She discovered her talent for acting while helping her dad and sister practice their lines for each play. She even memorized a few of the characters’ lines she was reading for. Samantha loves performing, and she can’t wait to be in more shows. She enjoys spending time with her family, dancing, singing, and spending time with her friends and making new friends.

Brooklyn Moore (Dancer)

Brooklyn Moore is excited to make her theatre debut in The Music Man! “I have enjoyed working with the cast over the last couple of months! Rochelle Rackliffe (Mrs. Squires)

Rochelle is excited to be performing in The Music Man! Previous credits include Cinderella (Stepmother), Valhalla (Valkyrie), Beauty and the Beast (Ensemble), and Savior of the World (Ensemble). When not on stage, she enjoys pretending to have free time, and spends what time she does have with her family and friends. She is willingly providing her credentials in the hopes that you’ll enjoy the show as much as she’s enjoyed being a part of it! Special thanks to her husband (guess what), who is always her number one fan. She’s incredibly grateful for the support from her kids, family, friends, and the amazing cast and crew. Another special thanks to chat gpt, because who has time to write their own bio! Enjoy the show!

Living in Eagle Mountain she joined theater again doing Cinderella and now The Music Man. In her free time she enjoys reading, playing games with her family, watching movies, and doing almost anything outdoors.

Samantha loves acting and has enjoyed doing the youth summer camps. She is full of energy and always loves to try something new. Some things she does in her spare time are writing, drawing, making jewelry, playing with friends, and video games.

Don Sherwood (Ewart Dunlop)

Don is returning to the stage after a brief 34-year hiatus since his high school performance of Oliver!, in which he played The Undertaker—a role which earned him a lifetime membership in The International Thespian Society.

During the intervening years,  Don acted in the dual roles of Husband and Father, which were met with mixed reviews,  but for which performance he was given several prestigious awards,  including the “World’s Greatest Dad” mug and the “No. 1 Olde Man” t-shirt. Production Team Bios

Kylee Sumner (Director)

Kylee is proud to be directing her first musical for EMCT after years of being a performer on stage. Her favorite roles with EMCT have been Les Filles (Beauty and the Beast), The Duchess (Alice in Wonderland), and Fanny Dashwood (Sense and Sensibility). This has been a major undertaking and would not have been possible without the support of her amazing husband and patience from her children for the lack of bedtime snuggles and songs.

Amy Hart (Stage Manager)

University of Utah graduate in Vocal Performance.  Vocal coach for Stage Hanna for 5 years, including a lead role of Sandy in Grease. With EMCT since 2017 serving as their vocal director and treasurer.

With a background in performing both on stage and in front of the camera, Ariel’s talents have now led her to the world of musical choreography. Passionate about working with people, she is constantly inspired by this cast’s dedication and talent. In addition to her work in theater, Ariel is a content creator and office manager/customer care representative at Signing Time. Emily is a classically trained pianist and has  sung in many choirs over the years. She received her Bachelor’s of Music Degree in Music Education from Brigham Young University in 2019 and began teaching elementary school music and choir. She taught in Provo City School District and then Alpine School District, and now she teaches private lessons in her home so she can be home with her two young daughters. Now she hopes to help bring The Music Man to life for the community through costuming. Enjoy the show!

Elizabeth Mashburn (Costumes)

Helping them rehearse their lines gave her the courage to bring her own acting talent to the stage. She enjoys spending time and making memories with her family. In her spare time she draws, paints, creates, entertains and sews. Fun fact, all of her family except her two sons are involved in the theatre. The Music Man was her grandma’s favorite movie. Being a part of this production brings back those cherished childhood memories of sitting together eating macaroni and cheese out of her grandma’s fancy china dishes. While watching The Music Man they would sing and dance to each song. She dedicates her hard work in this production to her grandma above. She cherishes the fact that she gets to share this experience with her two beautiful daughters.
